Real chill neighborhood sports bar! Great service, they have big screen to watch a game. The food and drinks are both amazing and reasonable. They even have a small little play area for the kids. Whenever I’m back in town I will definitely be coming back.

I went on a day that was drizzly and cold but still enjoyed it immensely. I have the mahi-mahi tacos and an Ace High Imperial peach cider. Both were very delicious. Lots of large screen TVs to get your favorite sports and plenty of seating area to enjoy your time with your friends.

The friendly spot is a cool casual place on a beautiful day! The staff is friendly and they have a good variety of drinks. The food is as expected. It’s not fancy but they have great nachos, chicken on a stick and fries among other drinking foods. Highly recommend if you’ve been walking, biking and want to hang out at a super casual place!

Absolutely love The Friendly Spot! Great drinks, delicious food, and amazing customer service. The atmosphere is super chill — perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a casual hangout. Highly recommend!

Lives up to its name! Bartenders are super friendly. Kid friendly spot at any hour of the day (12p-12a). Pet friendly. Huge screen for sports and fight viewing. Clean. Small playground for the kids. Area in the back is still open.

Outdoor icehouse in the middle of Southtown. Great shady seating areas. Huge play area for the kids. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon during Fiesta, no problem at all finding a table. Be warned that the restrooms are fully co-ed.

Love the outdoor seating, a lot of chairs and a smaller space which is indoors with minimal air conditioning. Their beer selection and bartenders are awesome, those chillades are yummy but strong, their fried pickles and jalapenos are to die for and I enjoyed the sandwiches I've had here too. I go all the time and I don't see a reason why I won't continue doing so. I haven't personally used these but they have fire pits, lots of screens to watch sports, and a place at the front for kids to play. Dogs and smoking allowed outdoors too.

I stumbled upon a little gem down in South town San Antonio. It’s a place called the Friendly Spot Ice House, and let me tell ya'll, the name ain’t no lie. The minute I walked in, I felt like I’d been welcomed into a family reunion. The atmosphere is as warm and inviting as a summer evening, with a touch of old-school charm. The place is filled with friendly faces, good conversation, and a whole lot of laughter. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back, relax, and just enjoy the moment. Now, let’s talk about the drinks. If you’re looking for a cold one at a great price, this is your spot. Their selection is impressive, and their prices are downright friendly. I had a couple of beers and a tequila, and I couldn’t have been happier. And let’s not forget Nicole, the bartender. She’s a real sweetheart, always smiling and making sure everyone feels welcome. She’s got a great way of remembering names and striking up conversations. So if you’re ever in San Antonio and you’re looking for a place to unwind and have a good time, I highly recommend checking out the Friendly Spot Ice House. It’s a friendly spot in every sense of the word.
